Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Rajaji National Park
Morning departure from Delhi. Drive to Rajaji National Park via Haridwar (220 km / 5 hrs). En-route enjoy views of the Shivalik hills. Arrive and check into forest cottages surrounded by dense sal and teak forests. Evening: special visit to Har Ki Pauri for the iconic Ganga Aarti ceremony at Haridwar. Return to cottage for dinner and overnight stay with sounds of the wild.
Day 2: Rajaji National Park Full Day
Full day exploring Rajaji National Park — spread across 820 sq km of dense Shivalik forest across Haridwar, Dehradun, and Pauri Garhwal. Morning Jeep Safari in Chilla Range and Ranipur/Motichur zones. Spot 500+ Asian elephants, Bengal tigers, leopards, king cobras, gharials. The park features diverse habitats: grasslands, tropical moist deciduous forests, riparian vegetation, and pine forests. Afternoon: guided nature walk with naturalist and bird watching session — 315+ bird species. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Rajaji to Jim Corbett National Park
Early morning optional elephant safari (60-90 mins, gate 7-9 AM) — traverse deep forest trails inaccessible by jeep, getting up close with wildlife. Breakfast and checkout. Drive to Jim Corbett National Park (150 km / 4 hrs). Check into wildlife resort. Evening at leisure to explore resort surroundings and the Kosi riverbed. Dinner and overnight with bonfire (during winters).
Day 4: Jim Corbett National Park - Safari Day 1
Early morning jeep safari into the core zone — Dhikala or Jhirna zone (most popular for tiger sightings). Jim Corbett covers 520 sq km and is India's first national park (established 1936). Spot 260+ Bengal tigers, Asiatic elephants, sloth bears, and 600+ bird species in their natural habitat. Return for breakfast. Afternoon: visit Corbett Wildlife Museum showcasing Jim Corbett's life and legacy. Evening: wildlife documentary screening and bonfire.
Day 5: Jim Corbett National Park - Safari Day 2
Second morning jeep safari in a different zone from Day 4 for varied wildlife experiences. Breakfast at resort. Visit the historic Garjiya Devi Temple perched on a rocky island in the Kosi River and the scenic Corbett Waterfall. Local sightseeing around Ramnagar. Evening at leisure to relax and review wildlife photographs. Final dinner at resort.
Day 6: Corbett to Delhi
Breakfast and checkout. Morning drive back to Delhi (275 km / 6 hrs) with beautiful memories of the wild. Drop at Delhi airport or railway station. Tour concludes.
