Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Chopta
Morning departure from Haridwar. Scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills via Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers) and Rudraprayag (confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini). Enjoy breathtaking views of deep valleys and towering peaks along the way. Arrive Chopta — the Mini Switzerland of India — and check into your camp surrounded by lush green meadows.
Day 2: Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek & Drive to Auli
Early morning trek from Chopta to Tungnath Temple (5 km) — the world's highest Shiva temple at 3,680m. Marvel at breathtaking views of Nanda Devi, Chowkhamba, and Neelkanth peaks. Optionally continue 1.5 km to Chandrashila summit for 360-degree panoramic views. Trek back and drive to Auli via Joshimath, visiting Shankaracharya Math and Narsingh Temple en route.
Day 3: Auli Full Day Exploration
Full day exploring Auli — India's premier skiing destination. Enjoy nature walks through oak and deodar forests, take the famous Auli Ropeway (one of Asia's longest cable cars — 4 km). Seasonal skiing on pristine Himalayan slopes (Dec-Mar). Panoramic views of Nanda Devi (7,816m), Kamet, Mana Parvat, and Dunagiri peaks. Evening at leisure to soak in the serene mountain atmosphere.
Day 4: Auli to Rishikesh
Breakfast and checkout. Drive from Auli to Rishikesh (265 km / 7 hrs) through the scenic Garhwal Himalayas. En-route stops at Rudraprayag and Karnprayag — sacred river confluences. Arrive Rishikesh by evening and check into hotel. Evening at leisure to explore the vibrant cafes and shops.
Day 5: Rishikesh Sightseeing
Full day exploring Rishikesh — the Yoga Capital of the World. Visit the iconic Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula suspension bridges. Explore ancient temples, Beatles Ashram, and Parmarth Niketan. Optional activities: river rafting (Grade 3-4 rapids), bungee jumping, and cliff jumping. Attend the serene evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.
Day 6: Rishikesh to Haridwar & Departure
Morning breakfast and checkout. Drive to Haridwar. Visit the famous Har Ki Pauri for a holy dip in the Ganges. Last-minute shopping for religious items and souvenirs at Bara Bazaar. Drop at Haridwar railway station or continue to Delhi. Tour concludes with wonderful memories.
